im looking at a E430 V8 estate

anyone got one? what are they like day to day?

Never had the E430 but as it's a W210 check it very carefully for rust.

Check elsewhere in this forum for the tales of woe.

Parrot of Doom is very knowledgeable on this subject (think he's still got a 210) and can point you in the right direction as to where it happens, which seems to be *anywhere there's metal* frown

from the feedback im getting (elsewhere) this model Merc is more trouble than its worth


i think i'll be sticking with Volvo's

thats the feedback im getting fro everywhere else ! eek

guess i'll stick with Turbo Volvos cool or perhaps a BMW 540 sportwagon

That said, last I heard was that Mercedes were almost unconditionally paying for repairs to the rusting cars. There might have been a requirement of full service history, but I feel for some reason that it wasn't being too strictly enforced?
