Any C32 AMG owners on here? Advice...
Discussion
I have basically decided that a C32 AMG is the car for me next. I jsut love the understated looks, and prodigeous performance!
I have a few questions which I was hoping an owner could help me with...
1) reliability, any concerns?
2) What are the running costs, I read circa £250 every 9 months
3) I'm not hugely concerned about MPG, but I woudl like to know what I'd get at say 80 on the motorway
4) Any specific spec things I should look out for?
5) Whats the handling like?
Thanks in advance!

If you don't get any luck here, have a scout on www.mbclub.co.uk there's a couple of owners on there.
I'd keep well clear of any C32 if the owners only spent £250 every 9 months maintaining it!
On my C43, the previous owner spent over £1000 every year on it. I would guess a C32 would be about the same for running costs. Maybe a bit less for now as the cars are newer so should have less wear to them, but certainly more than £250.
The B service is approx £450 if you have it done by MB, and that's without anything extra that may need replacing (pads/discs/etc...)
Edit: I've gone through the history of my car and have receipts since Oct 2004 that add up to £5536, or £1845/year.

I've got a 2002 C32 with approx 50k on the clock.
I bought it 12 months ago with 2 years MB Warrenty as it was purchased from MB Direct.
Shortly after purchase it was suffering with intermittant performance. Sometimes it was truely mental and others was more like a C180 than C32.
Eventually the Intercooler Pump was replaced and that resolved the issue. Then approx 2 months later the coolant warning light came on. Went back into MB for further investigation. No leak could be found so it was returned. A few weeks later the same occurred. This time the Intercooler living under the supercharger (in the Vee) was replaced as it was leaking coolant into the intakes !!
This was some 10k miles ago. Since then it's been fine (touch wood).
It's had a service that cost something around £450, and is shortly due another.
Does just under 21MPG on my daily 40 mile commute that is a mix of motorways, dual-c-way and urban roads.
It's not cheap to run in any way, but then it IS a stunning car. Extreamly comfortable, great to drive and HUGELY quick, without badges no-one has a clue what it is !
Saying all this, would I have bought it without a warranty ?
Erm No !
I highly recommend reading the mbclub forums. All my issues are documented in theads on there !
