strange thing keeps happening ill be driving along and car cuts out go to start it and it just turns over left it for a while (6hrs) and it starts perfectly.then i can drive for a few miles no problem pull up anywhere and it dies. wait for a few hours starts sweet as a nut.the engine runs perfectly not misfiring' not running ruff at all i have been having some electrical problems like parking sensors coming on when im no where near anything drivers side window not working elec seat not working and self close door not working (drivers side) all these are intermitant problems all whttp://www.pistonheads.com/ork within 30 mins local mechanic thinks it could be a crankshaft sensor thats causing engine to stop any thoughts

Crankshaft sensor sounds reasonable, a bad connection is more likely than a faulty sensor I'd say. For the other things, thats how mercs are built these days.

Seconded with the crank sensor.

I think one of the parking sensors has been replaced and the paint on it is too thick, giving false readings.

There is a way to reset the windows, but with the self closing playing up it sounds like the door wiring loom has stretched over time. This was a problem with early ones - if you can imagine the sheer weight of the massive door being thrown open the strain on a tight loom can cause problems.
