Silverback senior's c200 has a snag with it's wiper motor... it doesnt extend and retract, and apprarently the rod which raises the wiper stays out, then pops back in whenever it wants. He has been quoted a hideous figure for replacement (£800 yikes).

My question is, can it be taken apart, or do we need a new motor / wiper unit? And if so, is it a bugger to fit, and where is the best place for a second hand one?

The gearings gone, it's an expensive job as you've found !

Give these a ring : http://www.dronsfields.com/ if you don't want to buy new.

They'll ask for a chassis number though, as there are a few variations.
