300se J reg question.

Hi, my dad's just bought a J reg 300SE. There are no signs that says "Airbag", nonetheless, does this model have airbags?

Assuming thats the W126 (80's "square" model), airbags were an option. If it has an airbag, the steering wheel will have "SRS" and/or "Airbag" printed on the face, and the Mercedes star will be all black leather.
Similar to this:


If the steering wheel has no airbag, none of the aformentioned signage will be present. The area where the Mercedes star is, will be indented compared to the main "face" and printed on plastic, with the star itself in silver.
