Looks like a 2.5 / 3.5mm socket in the glovebox (2006 CLS) and the comand has an aux input. Dealer says we dont do the leads is it a std sort of lead from (where) I want to connect an ipod and I guess the socket pulls audio only (as a Ipod int kit is NOT available for the CLS says my informed dealer

Anyone know

You may as well e mail me direct!!!

I have a lead for the aux input on my Peugeot, i use it in the Mercs all the time for my ipod, try Halfrauds or a stereo specialist.

Your dealer sounds useless.

These leads are available at Currys, Maplin, B&Q Warehouse and even our local Tesco stock them. They are just 3.5mm stereo plugs at both ends.

I have the same in the ML although I use an IPOD dock which has an integrated FM Transmitter as I find the socket in the glove box to be in a poor position.

Dealer has come back with £400 for the ipod dock fitted (4 hours work apparently) - as the cd plays MP3 I will burn some discs and save the ££ towards some 19" wheels it so badly needs
