I've just bought a 54 plate SLK350 and have been reading the owners manual to try and find out how you adjust the headlights for continental driving. All it says is to go to a Mercedes dealer and get them to adjust them. It briefly mentions that if you have the projector style headlights then there is a lever which will move the light from an asymetrical beam (uk use) to a symetrical beam (continental use)
Has anyone got any idea where said lever is? I've looked and can't see anything obvious

Halogen and Xenon are the same.

Starting with the drivers side lamp, take off the back cover as if you were going to change the main bulb. The lever is at 3 o'clock, that is facing the wing. The other side is the opposite way around.

IIRC the levers can be a little sharp so take care, and it can be hot in there if the headlamp has been on.

Many thanks for the information and the warning. I'll give it a go when I get some spare time and it's not raining ( hopefully it'll be before we go )
