As per another thread here I wanted a AMG SL but the family ganged up on me and this is the nearest thing I guess.

I think it needs 19" wheels and prefer the ones on a SL65 (split rims) any thoughts on how they would go / look on the CLS ? (and best retailer to source)

Any feedback on probs / issues its the first car I have bought blind but I can back out on collection if not to description (only done 6k)

Any input much appreciated, this is only my 2nd Merc in 25 years of driving a 2001 E220CDi (which I loved) being the last one 6 years ago.

Cheers

Select 4th.

Ease on the throttle and add more and more pressure as speed increases.

Stop laughing.

Fill up tank.

Repeat to fade.

Personally the standard 5 spokes I think look fantastic. The ONLY car I would consider swapping the 500E for, great choice.

Enjoy

Dave!

Can anyone advise on the bluetooth phone adapter - it has phone pre wire - I dont need it to charge just to pair up with the phone (Nok N95)

Anyone got one - sell them - £300 is a lot for it but its essential

Its better than I hoped for (saw it today) - its had such little use that the small round stickers are still on the wheels and the little "hairs" on the tyre sides are still on.

Problem is its hard to find anyone who knows what some of the spec options fitted actually are !!

Have to do some googling methinks

810 is just a code used to say it has speakers in for working out the weight of the car for suspension parts, nothing intresting like Harmon Kardon or Bose I'm afraid.

The car is a UK one though and has Designo wood and TV on the Comand screen too, looks like someone spent some money on it.

There isn't a cradle for the N95 yet, Bluetooth or otherwise. Bluetooth is still a little iffy on the CLS, give MB 6 months or so ..

810 IS Harmon Kardon on the CLS,

Have a look at the PDF here : http://tinyurl.com/2r5jra

And notice how much the previous owner paid for (W66) interior wood, and the Harmon Kardon.

That price list is for the latest CLS63 but you get the idea ...

Our product guru at work has said that they are UK only codes for the Alarm and Immobiliser.

When do you pick it up? I bet it looks great with the designo wood.

On another note just found out if I don't put www. infront of the web address I can access Pistonheads!! thumbup

You'll have to post some more pics when you get it. I agree it is definately worth waiting to make sure it's perfect.

Collecting 10am on thurs, jeez the insurance was nearly double my group 20 Lexus GS430 - wasnt expecting that.

Most bhp I have had under foot (that I owned) was 280 / 290 ish (GS / 350Z / Gallant VR4) so how 476 will feel on a rainy december morning when I am trapsing into work I dont know - you get used to it I suppose. When I was growing up a Cossie Sierra was a supercar now you can get anything with 200BHP.

Will post pics of my £800 of Designo umber (WHAT?) dash wood in a day or so - wish 1st owner got 19" alloys instead of fancy wood - FFS!

Now wheres the manual for the Lexi

Surprisingly easy to get used to it as well, and a lot more forgiving than most.

ESP is probably too good on them, but you can still get through a set of rear tyres in a few thousand miles if you're *playing* at the lights in it often. smile

Hope you enjoy it biggrin

Well its here, collected from Notts today.
Drove away (smile / noise / event / occasion) happily for 5 mins then speedo centre turned red and flashed up tyre pressure issues - went back.
They reset the system, checked pressures and noticed a hole in the dash where the dimmer / reset should be ..... one was "sourced" and inserted and all was well.
At this point I noticed the manual was missing and the service book was a blank one (not that its had a sservice) NOW heres the query - at 2k miles the rear axle needs an oil change (it says) was it done I say - its only advisory they say - ANYONE KNOW please.

Passenger seat has a relay double click every 10 seconds and if you press the "dynamic / active" button the red led light on passenger side does not stay on - just flashes momentarily - on the drivers side it latches on - possibly the passenger seat is buggered and thats what the relay click is ??

Will post more and pics soon

Bit deflated

Hallo,

Congrats on your new car.
BUT:
Was that pre- or delivery-check done really according to Merc-AMG standards??Was there a shake-down run by a trained mechanic?
I am used to something different and very positive, same for after-sale service.

Nevertheless, happy motoring and enjoy the sound ;-)
