COMAND nav - postcodes

Afternoon all, probably being daft and overlooking the obvious, but can you enter a full UK postcode as a destination in COMAND (have an '07 model year W211 E280CDI)? Every time I try and input a postcode it seems to stop me at 4 characters (i.e. AB1 2) and then force me to choose a road in that general area. Frankly, it's a pain in the bum.

I have read the book of words, but no obvious help there. Am I being thick?

Mine is a 2003 clk model and it's as you suggest - first 4 characters then the street name. I would have hoped that MB would have updated Command by now to allow full post code searches.

Ah, thanks. Doesn't look hopeful then. Rather embarrassing when a £200 TomTom seems able to handle it with no problems... Merc missing a trick, really.
