Am I crazy to consider this?

I'm fed up with driving a boring late Jap estate car as my daily driver and I'm thinking about this instead but question is will it be reliable as an everyday replacement?

It's a 300CE 24v, 1991(H) with 180k+ miles. Sounds like it has been well cared for.

That one's been on ebay/autotrader for a very long time under private advertisment and now with a dealer, so make sure you get a good deal!

Seems like a nice example. 180k isn't too much for a Merc, but with that mileage make sure is has FSH. The head gasket and gearbox may need changing in the not too distant future, depending on how it's been driven in the past. If theres clonking from the gearbox, it'll need a new one. If there is a oil leak from the engine block, that'll more than likely be the head gasket.

So yes consider it, but make sure its been cared for properly
