I'm about to order my SLK for Sep and one of the options the dealer has listed is Option 952, Sports Pack with option R87, 18" 6 branch double spoke alloys. The wheels look great but I can't find them on the UK Merc website so does anyone know if they are UK spec and if not would it make a difference putting them on my car when it come to selling it?
I just had a look at what the Sport Pack entails :
Exterior
Rear spoiler (taken from SLK 55 AMG)
18" alloy wheels - 6 twin-spoke design (code R87)
Sports suspension
Wheels with “blue laurel wreath” hub cap design
17" braking system with perforated front brake discs and brake callipers with "Mercedes-Benz" lettering
Matt grey painted headlamp inlays
Sports air filter for the SLK 280 and SLK 350 (to improve engine sound)
Interior
Black leather seats with red top-stitching
Red top-stitching on steering wheel, door armrest & leather gearshift gaiter
Red seat belts
Velour floor mats with red trim
Red coloured needles in instrument cluster
Roof lining incl. rear window surround in black
Carbon-look trim element above glove box
Black trim element behind steering wheel
If anyone's about to spend the best part of £1000 on leather seats (a must option) It'd be daft not to go a bit further and go for the Sports Pack methinks. You can delete the red belts if needed !
I'd expect a lot of people going for this, It's going to be the first question asked come swapping time.

Where do you get your info from? I have until Monday to finalise my spec at at present am not sure as to whether to keep my body/leather spec as is:
SLK 350 Manual in Metallic Obsidian Black, Sports suspension, AMG 5 spoke, AMG Body kit
Designo Black and Red leather interior, Designo Red rollover bars
Or maybe change to the Sports pack?
Do you have pricing etc and is this available online? I am going to my dealer tomorrow afternoon but would be great to have access to this information to do the speccing and pricing in the comfort of my home before making the trip.
Thanks
Gary

Click on the 'Configure your next car' linky on the bottom right and it should appear in there somewhere. Have a look at the 'Edition 10' models too.

Thanks. I actually went on their earlier but the information on the sports pack was rather more limited than the information you provided!! I'll look again.Click on the 'Configure your next car' linky on the bottom right and it should appear in there somewhere. Have a look at the 'Edition 10' models too.

Just had a proper look, and I've totally misled you I'm afraid.
All the goodies I listed were part of a limited edition 'Sports Edition' towards the back end of last year. It was very limited to 500 units for the different models. Suffice to say they will have gone by now.
The new 'Edition 10' listed on the MB website fills this void.
Sorry to have dangled that carrot in front of you there.

The Sports Pack I'm having fitted to the car comes with 18" Alloys as well as the sports suspension. I'll check my order form later and see exactly what it entails.
It's just that - nothing else. I clarified with dealer last week!! And the seats come in pure black so have gone back to my original spec.Gassing Station | Mercedes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
