ML 430 not starting

Put the ML in to be fixed two weeks ago, engine died twice when manouvering and then would not re-start. Also had problems with the car then starting, took into Lancasters diagnosed as faulty sensors ( always used to be spark plugs didn't it now its always a sensor) replaced £400. Nice!

Woke up this morning, car won't start, all lights coming getting a click then nothing. anyone had similar problems?

Sounds like your starter motors gone if all you hear is a click. Have you tried rocking the car in gear?

I'd like to rock it but it weighs about two tons and is an auto. I'll ask the missus to do it!

Might be electrical.

With a dead alternator the dash lights would still come on with the small charge left in the battery, but not enough juice to turn over. The car would keep stalling and be difficult to restart....?

Check the earth strap in the engine bay, I know someone who had one shear off giving the symptoms you describe on their V8.
