That was actually the day I picked her up from the bodyshop! She had all the AMG's refurb'ed, bonnet dents filled, new o/s front wing, bumper stripped, n/s lower cladding stripped, and boot spoiler reattached using a strong bonding stubstance, rather than screws which had rusted, and the holes required filling and repair. All said areas where then resprayed

Hi cen!
A fine R170 example, there! Which engine has it got? I notice it has the SLK320 alloys.
Which bodykit is that? The grill looks similar to the period Lorinser item scratchchin

As we seem to be starting a bit of an AMG theme here, here's mine!

The alloys gave it away Darren yes, its the 320 however, V6 Kompressor. The body kit is from Reiger can be found in the following link. I preferred to just go with the front bumper kit not liking their side skirts. Felt the R170 style looked a little dated and wanted to enhance the car to represent the current styling. The car is six years old (I've had it from new)and has only covered 29,000 miles so don't really want to change it to the new shape whilst its basically still like new and not worth a fortune in part ex.

Ah Reiger! A firm I've heard of! They did an "Evo III" bodykit for the 190E IIRC.

And 320....Kompressor?! eek Supercharged engine eh? Those beasties only had the naturally aspirated 3.2 215bhp as standard! Which engine tuner midified your car? What's the power figures vs. Mercedes' own supercharged (Kompressor) SLK32 AMG?

SL65 - took me a while to find in one spec I wanted (black/black). Trying to find a Merc without light grey interior and light coloured wood is not easy.

Do you sometimes find a team of rugby players have attached a rope to the back of the car and stop you getting away and you sit there spinning the wheels?

No? OK I'll get my coat!!silly

Top gear referance but I might have got the wrong car...

Cheers - they're certainly good fun for a big, old cruiser.

Darren, it was bought via Hudsons a couple of months ago though Saffrons were marketing it also.
