Anyone got one or had one. Am thinking of jumping into one having sold my 996 C4S. Good idea or bad? Car looks good value for an 18month old £75k+ car for below £50k. Are there any horror stories to be aware of? Cheers Lee

I am not sure they offer comparible value to the e55 which is based on same running gear and engine, but is available for 20k-25k less (i.e current shape at £25-£30K)

Benno I dont know where you are finding 05plate E55's with sub 15k miles on for £25-£30k but would be willing to have a look at one. A search on Autotrader puts em all at c£40k. Looks like I have sealed a deal on a cracker, fully loaded and I mean every option 05/05 1 owner 13k miles was £84k new for under £50k. Cant wait to hear that V8 roar.....

take a look at the mercedes web site - there is a black 20k miler for £30k or a silver 53 plate for £32k

its the same car underneath and i think the E is possibly better looking
