These look better value by the day and I am very tempted.

Of course it won't handle like a 911 but does anyone have any experience of running one/any advice?

Thx

I have a 2003 clk55 amg and its fantastic. It's heavy at 1700Kg but track driving is real fun as you have to manage the weight transfer and its great as an everyday car. I get 14mpg in London traffic 9.03mins at the Ring.

I have a 2001 Clk55 amg and i love it. Nice power delivery and always able to put a smile on your face.

Also a great Q car as everyone thinks its a normal CLK until you go tanking past!!

Thanks for that guys.

I was actually looking for info on the CL 55 Kompressor (2 door S Class) so if there are any past or present owners with a view I would appreciate it.

They do seem good value nowadays (vs. the price new).

Over 2 tonnes, 500bhp and 0-60 in about 4.7 seconds. Dare I say they may have better traction that the CLS55 & E55 due to more weight, so should match its lighter stable mates.

I'd say go for it thumbup

If you're looking at that version, I think its safe to say MPG is not too much of a concern. Servicing shouldn't be too bad. Granted it the previous generation, but our CL420 works out around £500 per year on servicing.
I'm not clued up on what can go wrong with these cars, but its a given to make sure all electrics work as they should!
It'll have to be over to other PHers for further information, I'm afraid.

Good luck with your search!
