What are the thoughts on CLK 350's???

I have been driving M3's and 996's for the last 10 years and have decided something a bit tamer and refined is called for. I have ben offered a good deal on a 55 reg clk350 with 20k on the clock. Its fully loaded, looks good and goes nicely etc. Are there any issues i need to know about with these models? Is a facelift or new model coming out soon? Are they reliable cars to live with? And any other info you think a Merc noob should know.

Can't think of anything... presumably it's got the 7 speed autobox?

Car is actually based on the current E-class, underneath, I understand. I imagine the 3.5 is pretty quick.

It is an auto. Dont know if its 7 spped though. Was it an option or standard?

The 350 does have the 7 speed as std. It flies!!! Very very quick, and holds the road very well, even with the ESP switched off
