A client of mine has offered me his Mercedes CL55 at a realistic price.
Are they reliable as an everyday car, or are they a money pit?
It is a 2000 car with about 50k miles. FMBSH. Asking me £19995.

Don't know, but make sure you know exactly what you're buying ie the early 350bhp or the later 490ish bhp kompressor version.

Yep reliable but can be heavy on the juice but even with a heavy right foot you should get at least 15mpg out of it.

Hi 360,
2000 was the first year for the CL55,normally aspirated at that time, 0-100 circa 13secs.The drive train is basically bomb proof,do check all the electrics and things work, and the A/C.Please make sure it is an AMG,it will have AMG lettering on the dials for instance.Take care there are lots of lookalikes about.
servicing is not to dear, the 48k service would have been the Biggy.Oil service circa £180, although most Merc service boys are up for a deal.
20k is very reasonable price, so check owners, accident damage etc.

Mark.

Everyday car for sure. That's a good price for the miles. What colour and spec???
