Great looking car. From memory the MM was the standard SL500 with special alloys and the multicolour interior. They were all built to the same colour scheme. Engine output should be the standard 306bhp.

This is pretty much it. The dash and door trims are either special dark wood or carbon fibre I believe.

Also on an N Plate, I think the engine is still the 32v V8, so pushes out about 326bhp

Don't think so? Before cats the early 90s V8 32V 500s used to put out 326bhp (used to have a 90 500SL in the family), after cats were made compulsory, bhp dropped to 306 but merc increased the number of gears so usable perfomance seemed similar when driving (My 96 S500L was 306bhp).

many thanks for replying! - ignorant question about gears - presume you mean that the 96 model with have 4 or 5 gears then?

The 90 500 SL had four gears. So a 96 should have 5, identifiable on the gearbox as 1,2,3,4,D
