Mercedes 300SL Gullwing V8 AMG!

I just came acrossed this on the internet

A 300SL Gullwing modified by AMG-HWA with a 6.0 32v V8 AMG engine and running gear (I assume as per W124 E60 AMG and R126 SL60 AMG).

A RARE BEAST

I've heard of these conversions, but only know the Sultan of Brunei had 6 Original Gullwings stripped and rebuilt to this exact spec.
Where any more than these 6 built? How much did they cost? What other information is there on such a rare car?

I can only agree with you!

The alloys make me sick! They could have left it with the proper steel wheels.

I would've liked the modern attributes (airbag etc) fitted to my W126 before it drove me into the local police station!
