Can anybody help? I've just bought a used 2003 LWB A170 diesel Avantgarde without radio. I have a radio I'd like to fit but after removing the usual location bits and centre console, can't see any wires to connect up to. Am I blind? Should I be able to see a connector block? All help much appreciated.

Yep, there should be 2 or 3 blocks on the loom. Should be compatible with any Merc Audio 10 or Sony Head units. No blocks, then some rotter pulled the whole lot out, and you need some help.

By the way - you still have the AC??? I thought Cherie was making you sell it back in 1999. Don't suppose you still have that Vectra I sold you?

I now recall the Vectra you sold us which was changed years ago now. Yes I still have the AC3000 - presently in storage after a very messy (2yrs, £50k) divorce from Cherie. AC will again be offered for sale in March 07. It was on this website for a while recently. Interested? It turns out the Mercedes was an imported example and does not have the loom or speakers fitted! The radio it had was just filling a hole! No wonder it didn't work. Regards.

Whoa! Sorry to hear that Mike - I remember you taking me for a spin in the AC3000 - what an experience. Unfortunately I am totally over committed on the car side of things, presently got my company car (Porsche Cayenne) Sierra Cosworth 4x4 and a RenaultSport Clio V6........they way things are going I too could soon be divorced.
Good luck with everything. Tony.
