My sister-in-law lives in Thailand and is having major problems trying to source a part for her early 90's C200.

She's now waited over a month for the garage over there to source the Bosch part required, and has now asked that I try to find it in England instead.

The part number in question is: 0185451132 sw 0295 pm 005-4 zli(03) bosch 0261200614

I haven't the first clue where to look for such a part , in fact I don't even know what the part in question even is (!!).

Is anybody able to recommend where to look?

Sounds like something like a mass airflow sensor?

Could you not speak to her and try and find out more information?

OK, bit more digging suggests this is the ECU?

Have a look at this:

www.ecuexchange.biz/

Also look at:

www.mercedesforum.com/m_18054/printable.htm

Looks like it needs coding to the car.

(PS - if you give a dealer the part number A019 545 58 32, they should be able to give you a price.)

Sadly these guys can only repair your ECU, not supply a new one.

Supposedly the only company who can do that are...Mercedes! for approx £900 eek

Yikes!!

Well, what you could do is ask your Merc dealer what cars / model years these were fitted to. Then, try somewhere like Dronsfields or Mercman in Southampton? Both good Merc breakers.

Just a thought?

TBH I'd say anyone could repair one with enough technical experience (ie TV repairman) and a circuit diagram. It could be as simple as a dry joint, or a leaking cap.
