Best Discounts on CLK's??
Discussion
Hi Guys & Gals
Just wondering what the best discount you have managed to secure on a new CLK or any other Mercedes?
Trying to haggle at the moment for a car for my mum and seeing as we have no p/x and we are ready to buy the car straight away i was hoping for a better deal than we have been offered.
Any info greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Shan

It's 4pm baby and he aint shown!! Maybe try your luck down at Mercedes World in Brooklands. I hear they got 16 salesman down there and they have'nt sold a sausage yet (well the canteen has, but i digress).
Rule of thumb says if you dont want an import and it must be an official UK car then go to an MB dealer owned site ( in London, Birmingham and Manchester). The managers are always chasing numbers and not too worried about the profit...although it is a bit of a push-pull product (ie; they give away A and C Class and try to retain profit in M and SLK class) so CLK sits in the middle. They have 8% up front and 2% back door money if they hit all the buttons. SO expect most of the 8%. Or try to find a demo in your spec as this usually gets the demo bonus taken off of its value....hence you could try for 10% min off of its original list price.
Good luck.

Sorry to let you down lads, been dealing!
Q4 isn't doing as well as it might, there could be some deals to be had (got to be careful I don't sound like an advert!)

Shame..I am now ready for the purchase of the CLS....but wont be visiting a certain dealership based in the North!
Given the no name and shame policy I cannot say too much-but lets say someone offered you £xx,000 for your car and you email back to say you want to go ahead and sell it to them. You then leave tel messages and send more emails. You hear nothing for a week and so call again to speak to the used car buyer. This person doesnt bother to return calls either. You then finally hear back 2 weeks later and are told that the price is now £X,000 less because a new month has begun and so new CAP guides are out!
Now-would you deal with that company again... do you wonder why their Q4 results might be not going as well as expected!
