E230 Avantgarde
Discussion
Hi all,
This afternoon have bought (or rather my gran and grandad have) a 1997 Mercedes E230 Avantgarde. My mum has a 1999 Mercedes CLK 230 Kompressor Cabriolet which has been no trouble at all in its 64,000 miles, but is there any difference in reliability?? Its got a full Jim Russell Main deler service history and just 54,000 miles so should'nt be any troule!! Just wondered if anyone has any experience with them??
Cheers

There are supposedly rust issues with E classes of that age but my E320 has none at all, and at 106,000 miles absolutely everything works, a/c is still ice cold and the interior is like new. It needed some bushes replacing in the front suspension but that's it. Can't comment on the Kompressor engine though. I haven't had a four cylinder car of any kind for 12 years
