Old SLK Alloy Wheels Problem (03 Plate)
Discussion
My mum has an 03 plate SLK which has developed the milky wheel syndrome (Laquer buggering up) on all four wheels, she's had a right problem with the dealership as she has kerb damage to each wheel. They are saying because of this the warranty is void, despite the laquer damage being in the centre of the wheel and the kerb damage to the outer rim.
I've contacted MBUK who are also standing behind this bogus excuse, can anyone shed any light on our next move other than writing to Daimler Chrysler.
Thanks

What Sprint just said.
It used to be quite a common claim, along with rusty wheel bolts. Mercedes don't make the wheel claim easy, it involves taking digital pictures, e-mails and a whole load of faffing around, too much for some dealers.
Take it to another dealer, and open with 'I'm sick of Mercedes Benz of X, can you give me your service prices' They'll sit up with glee, and then drop in the little matter of the wheels, they should be keen to get the camera out then.
-Edited to add, the 03 cars are out of warranty now, so the best you could hope for is a Mercedes contribution, if you have a fully stamped book you may be in with a slim chance.
