A160 keeps stalling?

Hi folks i have an A160 with the clutchless option, the runs fune when driving but in idle when i select 1st the car looses revs dramatically and stalls, any ideas?

Hi this is my first post and I'm not sure if I am allowed to do this, but www.baby-benz.com is a very useful site for the A-class.

There is a good chance it could be the gearbox valve body
Merc's did have a problem with these.
if this is the case and you need a new one, please made sure that when you order this from your nearest MB Dealer that they order you one with a 26 on the end of the part number as this way at has been programmed at the factory. And also the tech. that fit's it does not swop the bad software problem from old to new.

Had a similar problema couple of years ago, it was the 'air mass (or motor) sensor. Not sure exactly what it does, but over £500 to fix !!
