CLK Outside Temp Query

Had new dash fitted last week LCD screens had gone, anyway everything now works ok except outside temperature shows 36 degrees and doesn't change? my question is the sensor knackered if so where is it and is it easy to replace or is it something else?? any suggestions would be helpful.

ambient temp sensor is in the grill on the bottom of the front bumper.

I changed the battery on my CL last week and the OTG read 33C, and the ABS and ASR warning lights came on. A search of the web said to start the car and then to turn the steering lock to lock a couple of times as would reset the limits for the ASR. I did this and then evrything worked fine, including the OTG!!

This might not work for you - different car, different specs - but it might be worth a go.
