E55 won't start when hot - just turns over

Any gurus out there ?. I have a 1999 T reg E55 (pre face lift). Just recently in this hot weather I have had problems restarting the car once I have run it for a while (over 5 mins possibly). The temp gauge is normal and the car has not been driven hard before hand. Its happened twice in the last week and once the week before, so I think its getting worse !. I leave the car 15+ mins and it restarts and drives perfectly. The car has done monster miles 150k, but I've only done 3k in the 18months I've owned it. Any ideas ?. My dad had a 'ballast resistor' (spelling) give the same problem on his 1977 Rolls - it cost him @30 quid to fix it himself. Any chance this will be the same thing !! - hopeful of Bromley, Mike.

quoman - I don't mean to be a bit of a thickie what do you mean 'pm me' ?. I have been told that my problem may be a Crank Case Sensor playing up. Any idea ?. Cheers
