W210 Autobox problem - Mercedes independent in south west?
Discussion
Just wondering if anyone can help?
I bought the wife a '99 W210 E240 Estate about 6 months ago - was great until this morning, when it went really slowly (probably holding 1st or second in 'failure mode') and then wouldn't shift from park. I pushed the override button at the end of the gate to get it out of park and home, and am getting it recovered at the moment.
I am hoping that there is just some damp somewhere in the electronics, or perhaps that the oil level has dropped (despite it being sealed), and am letting it get recovered to Mercedes as I don't know any good Merc independents around here (south Devon). However, in the event that it needs something more expensive does anyone know anyone in the south west that they would recommend to fix a W210 transmission?
Thanks for any ideas,
Brett
