The AMG multi spoke alloys on my SLK 55 AMG are only 10 months old, but after a good polish today found pitting.

The rears are perfect but both front wheels are affected, mainly in the centre of the wheels.

Is it worth contacting the dealer?

Yes, I'd give it a try. The lacquer seems soft to me. I have some minor scratches on all the wheels which can only come from road debris, since they are not kerb damage and are in random places. I've never seen that before.

Good luck with dealers! Even though they're cars have bodywork guarantees, this doesn't usually include the alloys. We have 1997 CL420, on which 2 of our alloys (although not kerbed) were suffering severe lacquer peel. When we asked the dealer about this, they told us it wasn't covered in a guarantee.
Seeing as your car is so young, it wouldn't hurt to approach them.
