cl500 question

Hi guys,

I am about to buy a 2003 cl500, which is pre the change to the 7 speed auto box......appart from the obvious, what are the major diferences between the 5 and 7 gear boxes ....is it worth holding out for the 7 speed version? and are there any differences in servicing cost?

...don't worry about it. Should be a face-lift on an 03 anyway (wide screen sat nav). I always found the early 7 speeds a pain. Hunts around not knowing how many gears to drop etc. The 5 speed was always superb. I know of a silver one with 48K going for £30K if you are interested. Private sale, chips on bonnet and door, AMG alloys scuffed but has TV and a few extra bits. Let me know and I will hook you up.
