E class 270 CDi What to avoid?

I've been offered what I would call a "cheap" E class 270CDi. I was wondering what the standard things that are known to go wrong with these cars, and what in particular to avoid. It's quite a high mileage car.
Need to make a quick decision as he's already had an offer he'll accept if I decide not to buy it.

What year is it? Turbo failure and rust can be serious issues on early cars.

It's a 2003 model.
Turbo's should be ok with that?
