Does anyone 'really' know what price this is going to be? With only a few months until its released I find it daft that dealers are unable to provide any clearer information.
I would also be interested in reading any proper driving impressions beyond the superficial gloss published by Car & Driver and Edmunds.

Thanks Mark. It's a little frustrating that Mercedes haven't yet informed you guys and quite surprising given that I understand they've begun to be built. I notice that the ML63 has now been included in the general ML brochure, but since the ML63 is a very different car to the ML55 we need to know if Mercedes' pricing policy is likely to change.
Absolutely, as soon as I get pricing info I'll mail you through your profile.
The 63 does looks like it is going to be a beast and having just come back from 2 days and 100 off-road miles in an M Class I am looking forward to seeing it.
You never know, you might be able to buy one from a fellow PHer!

Well I don't have an existing dealer relationship so let me know when you find out. I have a 4.8is X5 at the moment that I bought new 2 years ago, so the only replacement option (if I choose to replace it) is either the ML63 or the next X5 (I have an order down for the X6 when it arrives in 2008/09).
Yes I spoke with Richard a few weeks ago and he enthusiastically recounted his ML63 drive in Southern Spain. I've checked the price and it should be with a percent or two of the E63 AMG which will be priced at £66k, so around £67k would seem likely for the ML63. Apparently though you'd need to add around £6k on that price for essential extras. I'm still unsure though but I know of a dealer that has a spare car for Septmember build.
Thanks Mark, I've specced one up using the options that are not fitted as standard and it gets pretty near to £80k OTR, that's just too much for an SUV with family duties in mind. Mercedes should have priced it closer to the Cayenne Turbo rather than raising the bar (and trying to justify it based on the stupidly priced Cayenne Turbo S).
