Merc R-Class......... Yummy
Discussion
Had a good look at one today at a Merc car sale and I must say that, despite being completly underwhelmed by it in photos, it's stunning in the flesh. For a start, it's HUGE!! It was a 350lwb that I was poking about that had an ok spec but the feeling of quality and solidity was far and above anything our E-class could aspire to.
It had the lovley 5 spoke alloys, no-idea of the size but they must have been at least 18s, glass roof, captains chairs (are they standard?) but not leather. But it's the interior space that got me, and the quasi 4x4 driving position (although I didn't get to drive it) seemed spot on.
Oh if only I was in a younger family, I would have had a stab of convincing dad to get one of these. As it is, we were there to look at CLK convertibles. Just once the golf clubs fit in the boot !
