Wheel problem

My wife has a CLK coupe which is 7mths old i dont drive it much but when i took it out the other day i noticed theres a bad grinding noise when you have full lock on.

I know the cars under warrenty and ill get it booked in asap just wandered if anyone could tell me whats wrong so i kinda know what needs to be done so im not blinded by the dealer

I take it your car has standard wheels fitted, have you checked your PAS fluild is correct.

It could be the normal PAS pump straining noise if it only does it on full lock(left and right)

Left only and it sounds like somethings rubbing on the wheel arch

My SLK does it on full right lock if it's on a hill. I think the tyre is lightly rubbing the plastic wheel arch lining. Can't see any scuffs so I don't think it's too much to worry about.
