Everytime i drive round central london at night i keep on spotting the same Mclaren SLR aimlessley driving around. One time i followed it, and i could hear the brakes screeching very loudly, those car reviews were right- the brakes seem terrible. I asked the owner of the slr to blast it down a tunnel which he obliged, it goes like stink. It has diplomat numberplates, and i wonder what country buys a diplomat a SLR then lets him drive it round london all day posing?

I have also seen 3 other SLR's in various parts of the country, but no carrera gt.

Reports in the press state that the brakes have poor feel, however the noise you heard is from the fact that the brakes are carbon/ceremic and need a bit of warming up before the noise goes.

So *thats* why our European Parliament representatives each submit an expenses bill of £400,000 each year to the taxpayer...

And what's more, most of those reviews were of pre-production cars. The production cars were much better.
