C180K SE - Deal or No Deal?
Discussion
Facelift was mid 2004, from the outside the clear headlamps give it away.
What trim is it - Classic, Elegance or Avantgarde?
Also, if it's manual with cloth seats then these are not very desireable. If it is a manual, make sure you (and anyone else who might drive the car) are OK with the foot operated parking brake.
There isn't a new model very imminent, but the current offer on C-Class is free SE pack, so I would imagine you could get a new Classic SE (cloth/manual) for around £20K.
Have a look at MB Direct (via the Mercedes web-site) there are some there for similar prices (all autos) and MB Direct are usually keen to deal.

The car is an automatic with around 12K miles
Can't see anything on MB direct for that but of course their actual price may be a lot better than that advertised.
Seriously thinking about taking the plunge.....seems a lot of car for the cash.
There's 2 05's at £16,499, and I wouldn't have thought you'd have any trouble getting £500 off. I paid £23500 for my car when the screen price was £26,999.
Not saying they're any better / worse / different to the car you're looking at, simply that the price you've seen is good for a MB dealer, but not a blowout bargain.
