Any recommendation on tyres for the SL55 (19" rims), thanks.

Also, is there a way to get TV reception when driving (for passengers benefit!)

Thanks.

ALRIGHT , DEPENDING ON THE AGE OF THE CAR, THE COMMAND UNIT COULD BE CHANGED (IN CONTROL UNIT ADAPATIONS ,JUST A SIMPLY YES/NO) USING THE MB STAR MACHINE ASK YOUR LOCAL DEALER.THEN THE CUSTOMER HAS TO SIGN A DISCLAMIER(SAFTY REASONS FOR YOUR PASSENGER..YER RIGHT).AS FOR YOUR TYRES I WOULD KEEP IN SPEC SIZE WISE ,SO YOU DONT GET ANY ESP/ABS FAULTS .

Day to day stuff, everyone here goes for Continentals, those customers who like to 'make progress' go for P Zero Rossos (this website is nothing to do with me, but I bought 4 tyres for my Pug 206 last week, was cheaper than our service departments trade supplier -> www.blackcircles.com/)

For the Comand TV, have a look in your local Autotrader for the 'Digital Speedo Corrections' type of people, going rate is around £50 if memory serves.

Here's what I have fitted (when I bought the car);

Front: 245/35 ZR 19
Back: 285/30 ZR 19

Apparently this is not a standard combination... i.e. can't find four tyres to match, even Michelin Pilot Sports (that are currently fitted).

Anyone else got 19" rims... what tyre sizes do you have? Presumably this could impact the rolling radius and therefore speedometer calibration... and I thought it would be an easy job...

Thanks - That's pretty much what I think I "should" have!

Are you happy with the Bridgestones? They're a bit cheaper than the Michelins.

Quote from Brabus;

"245/35 ZR 19 is indeed an approved front tyre size with 285/30 ZR 19 rear. Another possible combination is 255/35 ZR 19 with 285/30 ZR 19 rear, but only with front wheel size 8,5J x 19"
