Simply awesome.

My wife has an E55 Estate and has had it from new in Sept 04.

Never had any reliability issues. It runs on 19" AMG split rims and she managed 13000 miles out of the rear tyres and its now done 17000 still on the original fronts.

First service done at 12000 miles.

WELL DONE MR MPR YOU MUST HAVE SELECTED THE WINTER TYRE SPEED LIMITER IN THE CLUSTER OR PUT THE LIMITER ON, TO BE GETTING SUCH GOOD TYRE WEAR,OR IS IT THAT MRS MPR USES THE CAR AS A SHOPPING TROLLEY.(BUT THEN AGAIN 19" RUBBER NOT CHEAP)

hi, first post so go easy.

I have estate e55 from germany since jan 03, 33k miles -er or was it 04? 53 reg anyway... No reliability probs, quite quick, eats tyres and fuel. I am in the middle of a prob with autoglass as with new windscreen the blimmin rain sensor is playing up. I asked for it debadged as otherwise it's a bit ott. If you can kep the exahuists in good nick you are more of a fanatic than me, ahem....

Been toying with the idea of one of these recently, but haven't drive yet. From what i've seen they are all black or silver with the very rare blue one, were there any other colours? also I read in Autocar this week that the "market" doesn't like them and thus are real depreciation pit. Are they really any worse than other cars of that value?

Hi All,
Just changed my rear tyres at 10000miles and still had 3mm on them.
Mich's must be good tyres,as I have over 800fpt,and I'm not known for
hanging about..

Mark.

The original Michelin Pilot Sports have a very hard compound; I managed 20,000 miles on a set. Have switched to Bridgestone REO50 (the new ones) which should have more grip, but not last quite so long. Pilot Sport 2 was quite a bit more expensive.

I found the grip was very good, untill I reached approx 4mm,when the performance[of the tyre] went off quite markedly. My new set of rears cost £490 inc vat.
Might we see you at V Max sometime?
