Hi,

I'm new here but need your opinion...

I've just ordered an SLK 55 AMG in obsidian black but am undecided about what colour to choose for its interior..

either alpaca grey or black leather?

cheers,
A.

At presant, the `trade` would like both comb`s, I prefer alpaca, it looks more striking. Regards Mark.

We've done a couple of Obsidian Black SLK200K and SLK350 with Siam Beige (or is it Pebble Beige?!) leather and it looks fantastic - especially with Vavona wood trim.

I don't think you can spec Vavona wood on the SLK55 but the designo wood option(s) aren't that much different in price.

Let me know if you'd like any pictures.

Hi,
Thanks for all the replies so far! Saw a black SLK 350 yesterday with the orient beige (?) interior and that looked pretty good...am thinking that one now.
Stuart, yes any pictures would be great. Is Siam beige similar to Orient beige?
Happy New Year to all by the way!

Cheers,
A.

I'll get pictures over to you on Tuesday when I'm back in work!

I think there's only one beige available, it's just I couldn't remember it's name yesterday! I think it was possibly Siam Beige on the old R170 model, now either Orient or Pebble Beige on the 171! Personally I think it looks better than the Alpaca Grey and just helps lighten the interior rather than having it all black!

We have the ML350 in Obsidian black with black leather interior and it just looks dull - my SLK 55 AMG is silver with red and black interior and in comparison looks stunning. Personal opinion is that a black vehicle looks good as long as there is a contrasting interior - black and black is boring

Get some contrast in there. A dark car with a light interior looks great IMO, all black is dull as has been suggested.

Sorry for the delay. I've been struggling to find the pictures!

First couple here (top one with Vavona Wood)... I'll keep looking tonight to find some more!

I'd go for Berry Red to be honest, sound garish but it isn't too bad. Pretty solid resale wise as well as there are rucks of SL's out there esp. 55's with Berry Red.

What, it doesn't show up the residue when you snort cocaine off the leather???
