Driving home this morning at 3am, heard a huge bang from under the car. The car still engages the gears, but ive lost all drive - had to be trailered home 
The diff was on its way out, so im inclined to believe its this which has gone. Been given a general ball-park figure of around £800 for a new Merc part.
Has anyone out there got any ideas modified diffs or standard diffs, and their prices? (My car is a 1995 W124 E320 Coupe by the way)
