SL320 bonnet release catch location
Discussion
Hi All,
Sorry for such a trivial question... I am trying to get the bonnet open on a friend's 1997 SL320. I've relesed the primary catch (lever by nearside door) and the bonnet popped up an inch, but I can't find the secondary release thingy. Is there some cunning MB electonic gadget, or am I just being thick?
Thanks.

Don't know about the SL specifically, but most '90s Mercs have a plastic tab that pokes out when the bonnet lifts after you pull the release cable. Then you pull that towards you (away from the engine) to release the bonnet properly.
