Heard a little while ago on a TV programme that they were struggling to make enough CLS's to keep up with the demand. Any idea if it's true?

2nd hand cars are still around list so sort of points to it being true, "probably just answered my own question."

I've read on the US Mercedes Forums that there are delay's in getting the car's and some are still showing as 'IN PRODUCTION' on the netstar system after three weeks of the same status.

So kind of sounds true.

I've seen three on the road so far. One of them was a black CLS55 AMG and it sounded and looked amazing. The other two were Iridium.

Don't believe the hype! Plenty out there (we) the dealers are propping up second hand prices and not discounting new. But any minute now someone will cave in and start to do 3 and 4 per cent off. Then the demos will get cheaper and so on. Sit tight. Great car, well recommend it.

I wonder if it's bringing in new (to Mercedes) customers or if it's just being bought by people who would have bought an E Class anyway?

just tested a cdi and after hunting around for a deal found a few internet companies are offering app 2k off new uk sourced cars, plus my local dealer was trying to tempt me with a black one in the showroom (that i did not want) with £500 off. i'm not a merc man but the looks and now the drive have made me want to chop my x5 in soon.
