Mercedes Personal Collection – Bremen

Just wanted to say that my wife and I just returned from a factory visit to Bremen to collect her new SLK280 – it was a fabulous trip :clap::clap:

We were flown business class to Germany, put up in excellent accommodation (dinner etc), then next day taxi’d to the customer centre – for a two hour factory tour (real ‘eye-opener’), then introduced to the car…. We took advantage of their 5 day insurance to drive over to the Rhine Valley. Mustn’t forget the Shuttle last night (go for the flexi-plus ticket) – was quick and easy.

Glad to hear you had a good time! I would also thoroughly recommend it. There's no better way to start off with a new car than collecting it from the factory and completing most of the running in process on the way back. The old town part of Bremen itself is really nice, the driving standards are high and the roads excellent (in Germany anyway). Also, it's great value compared to certain other manufacturers beginning with P that I could mention. I hear they have the nerve to charge a load of money for a factory collection. With MB, you only pay the extra for your passenger's air fare, with everything else being included for no extra cost compared to a UK delivery.
