One of these on Ebay not far from me:

What are they like? Looks like a lovely motor, any problems/issues with something like this? If I go and view it, what should I look for?

Vixpy1 has one (or similar), maybe drop him a line through his profile.

Certainly didnt embarrass itself on a recent blatt amongst some faster exotica (apart from the clouds of black smoke everytime Charlie booted it, blinding all behind him) Think he may have had it chipped though?

That's probably a non-turbo 3.0 diesel.. it uses some sort of intake resonance thingy (??) and still makes 115bhp (same as the Audi 2.5 TDi of the era, and not bad by the standards of 10+ years ago, and for a N/A diesel) but it's not fast. However it sounds quite nice and has a nice smooth power curve, no turbo lag and no silly turbodiesel lumps, so suits the automatic box OK.

Buy one and spend the extra time getting everywhere relishing the fact you're in a W124 not a W201! (Sorry vixpy )

Anyone know if it gets good MPG?
