Battery for S211 E320 CDI OM642
Discussion
Hi folks. I've just spent best part of a grand on my car recently and it's running a treat and passed it's MOT this week. Mechanic noted the battery was on its way out. I think it might be the original from 2007 or been replaced once since then before my ownership (6 years 3rd owner) it's an MB branded lump.
Researching batteries it seems important to get an AGM battery but they are £250-400 approx.
I've searched all the relevant sites I can think of, Halfords, ECP, AMAZON has this battery which it's compatibility tool matches to my car.
UPLUS 110AGM Car Battery, 12V 80Ah Maintenance Free Automotive Start-Stop Battery, 800A 140RC, High Performance Batteries Type 110 Agm https://amzn.eu/d/1yRQAvR
Is it compatible? There's also a higher spec version for a bit more, is it worth getting it instead? I've got gift voucher credit with Amazon too so unlikely to get it cheaper elsewhere.
Thanks in advance.
Edited to add the higher spec slightly more expensive version.

Thanks Willber. I'm only seeing your message now but I rang the AD today and with MB club discount it was £166 plus VAT so £199. I had it on charger today and that has helped perk it up. It was on 12.2 volts when I connected it and it quickly rose to fully charged. I'll keep an eye on it. I was looking to get a battery fitted before several lengthy roadtrips over Christmas but to achieve that is have to get an MB one as I can collect it.
That seems a good price from the dealer. Tayna can’t beat them by more than pence once delivery is added in, but generally when I have ordered from them the battery has appeared the next or following day if you’re struggling to get into the MB dealer.

I won’t ever use Tanya again. https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/varta/a5/
See what happens when you have a problem/warranty claim. Utter ballache - even after you’ve sent the battery back at your own expense for testing you’ve no vehicle til/if you get a replacement.
Thanks for everyone's contributions. I think if I buy one I'll get from MB parts dept after work this week. I wonder do they do exchange discount? I never asked as I hadn't thought of it but they have on other purchases like SBC pump (SL55).
It would make environmental and economic sense I'd have thought.

It's worth asking but not sure batteries have a core value like other parts do that get refurbished.
I've found Merc dealers to be pretty good, especially when I needed a new suspension compressor when on holiday in France! They had in stock and gave a heft discount plus a core charge refund.
I'll try buy from them more often as supply of good parts seems to be flakey. For example i couldn't find Lemforder LH suspension arms for some reason. I ended up with TRW but will bought genuine track rod ends as I have had bad experience with various Febi bits recently. Sometimes its worth paying more up front.
Hope you get it sorted
