W209 CLK55 AMG Wanted

Hi all,

I am looking for a CLK55 AMG, ideally in the South of England, but I can travel if required. Preferbly a later model coupe with the big brakes, but I would consider a Convertible too.

I just thought I would post here to see if anyone had one, knew of one available, etc (I've probably seen all cars listed on eBay, AutoTrader and Facebook!).

I’m likely looking for a move to a C63 Convertible early next year. My CLK55 has a readers thread going here and I’ve spent over £5k in the last couple of years on maintenance so it’s in a good state.

Summary - bought for £11,250 in March 2023. New tyres, full service with 16 x spark plugs changed. Work to suspension, brakes, bushes etc. No mechanical issues.

Bad points - bonnet needs a respray as previous owner must have left a cover on it.

Thanks for replying. I've seen your thread and its a great resource in itself not only for the history of your car but also in regards to maintenance etc!

At this stage I'm being quite picky and really want to try and get a late model Coupe. Something will have to give, but I'm also not a massive fan of black cars. Again this is tricky, as 90% of these seem to be silver or black!

Let me know if/when it's replaced though as if I'm still looking, a "known" car would definitely be top of my list regardless of colour, age etc!
