Please help it's driving me nuts!!!
Discussion
I had a Volvo which had one of these warnings once, the sensor wire was under the seat just dangling there. I disconnected it and hey presto no warning (I wore a seatbelt, but didn't put it on until I was out of my underground carpark as I had to stop and get out to activate the gate opener most of the time).

Steady on ! Bedford Rascal - stop being a sanctimonios Do you have a beep that comes on when you go over 70 on the motorway? Or over 50 in a 40 etc etc? Or when you do some slightly dodgy overtaking? Or when you are fiddling with your CDs or map while driving?
I think you are being a bit harsh on jaycee here. I have just got an e class as a hire car while my Cerbera is in for repair, and the bloody seatbelt thing is annoying to say the least. I wear my seatbelt when driving normally, but not when navigating around car parks, or up my drive, and such like, and it drives me bloody insane. We are all adults and make our own decisions in life, and do not need to be reminded of these things by some annoying beep! So, just to clarify, can we turn it off then?

The warning in my car only starts when you exceed a certain speed, so I don't have any problems with it when I am 'navigating up my drive' or putting the car in the garage. It is very insistent though - I heard it when driving onto the Eurotunnel without a seatbelt. However, it can't be switched off. Apart from by putting the belt on, obviously, which works for me
Not that I dont where one but..............
When having to use delivery vans many many years ago, it was legal not to where a seatbelt, in this case a diesel transit for door to door milk delivery. (Noise in the am is another story ) .
The new vans that were delivered had a seatbelt buzzer issue, so people just slipped metal or card into the seatbelt buckle to fool the system activated by the seat pressure.
