Can someone help me identify this old Merc?
Discussion
Very low quality picture, tried my best already to clean it up.
My best bet is a W111 or W112 as the lights seem to "overhang" a bit, but I'm certain there's much more knowledgeable people than me on here.
PS: The picture could be 50's or 70's for all I know, I have no reason to be 100% certain it's a Merc other than it looks like one from what I can see.

I'm pretty sure it is a Merc, and I think I can just see the double bumpers under the headlights, so I think it's an S-Class, either in W108/109 or W111/112 form. The W111/112 is more upright than the W108/109, so on that basis it could be a W108/109, but the picture as displayed may have a distorted aspect ratio.

I've fixed the aspect ratio, and the bike wheels look quite round next to it.Mercdriver said:
Did the 108’s not have single stacked headlights, I had one in the 80’s. But the W112 had double stacked headlights I think. Difficult to tell from the photograph.
Built to RR standards, a gentleman’s carriage!
IIRC W108 was stacked, update to 109 went to single large headlampsBuilt to RR standards, a gentleman’s carriage!

Looks like an early 60s Mercedes W112 to me. Predates the 108/9 (1965-72) and the S class (1972 on)
I think this might be on the money. The headlight were most stumping to me, and I couldn't think of a merc that had them like that. The vastness of PH knowledge doesn't cease to impress!
