Why would a delivery mileage new E Class be in the trade?
Discussion
A damage in transit is understandable, ie. sold via auction to whoever the highest bidder happens to be.
Yes, I saw the other M-Bs on the traders stock list, but if that car was not sold through an auction, one wonders how the trader would be able to obtain it. Would M-B UK want a new car to be marketed in those premise?
I suppose they could be 'flipping', but with the agency model now operating, ie. no discounts, they would presumably need to sell it above list price.
I don't think the W214 is in short supply and some dealer stock cars are available for immediate delivery.
It is interesting that the facelift W213s, hardly used, are available from main dealers at about half the new cost of a W214.
If anyone dislikes the new all digital superscreen, that is the way to go. There are surprisingly few differences between W213 facelift and the replacement model (W214).
