i have a140 which has a smell of petrol in the car when driving. When stationary the smell can sometimes be detected to the rear of the car and thier is no smell from under the bonnet.

The car has han a new petrol filter, coil pack and air flow sensor. any ideas?

If the smell is coming from the rear and you can smell it while driving, it sounds as though exhaust or fuel tank breather fumes could be being drawn into the vehicle. Most cars have one-way vents at the rear to draw stale air from the interior. I'm not sure of the specifics in the A class but you might want to investigate those. Fumes in the cabin are a safety issue so I'd go to a dealer ASAP.
